Terms of Service

Last updated: February 12, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Open64 Chrome extension and the open64.us website. By using Open64, you agree to these terms.

What Open64 Is

Open64 is a Chrome extension that replaces your new tab page with a goal-setting grid based on the Open 64 method, created by Takashi Harada. We provide the tool. What you build with it is yours.

Your Data

Your grid data (purpose, pillars, actions, activity history) is stored locally in your browser. We do not have access to it. If you uninstall the extension or clear browser data, it is permanently deleted. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data we collect and how we handle it.

Account and Access

Open64 does not require an account. The free version works entirely offline. If you provide an email address (optional), it is used only for product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Intellectual Property

The Open 64 method was created by Takashi Harada. Open64 is a tool that implements this method digitally. The extension's code, design, and branding are owned by Open64. Your grid content belongs to you.

AI Features

Open64 offers optional AI-powered action suggestions. When you use this feature, your pillar names and action text are sent to our server to generate suggestions. We do not store this data after the response is generated. AI suggestions are provided as-is and should not be treated as professional advice.

Availability

We aim to keep Open64 running and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The extension works offline for core functionality. Features that require a server connection (AI suggestions, email collection) depend on service availability.

Limitation of Liability

Open64 is provided as-is. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from browser issues, extension updates, or clearing of local storage. We recommend periodically exporting your grid as a backup.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance. We will note the date of the most recent update at the top of this page.
